Themes: sentient pools of water gather the energy released by the hands of spectators

Fluids is a living, reactive artwork comprising sensitive pools of water which gather and transmute the energy released by the hands of spectators. The water here serves as a common thread; it conducts the energies of the spectators’ bodies to the centre of the artwork by generating an infinity of fluid landscapes of sound and light. The quantity of spectators - and thus the quantity of energy gathered - has a tangible effect on the nature of this visual and audial landscape.

The artwork concentrates spectators around a sensory creation which interrogates the fragile relations between bodies, energies, living pieces of matter, lights and sounds. When a person brushes the water, the bowl becomes illuminated with a light wave which gradually spreads towards the centre of the artwork. The variations in light are accompanied by sounds, whose nature fluctuates according to the intensity of the energetic relation so engendered.
